Half a century after its premiere, Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead has returned to London’s Old Vic Theatre just in time for its 50th anniversary. Written by Tom Stoppard, the comedy follows Rosencrantz and Guildenstern, of Shakespeare’s Hamlet, as they stumble their way in and out of the iconic drama. While “in the wings”, there are appearances by other major characters from Hamlet who enact pieces of the play but confusion ensues as the events begin to occur onstage without them. Daniel Radcliffe is Rosencrantz with Joshua McGuire as Guildenstern in The Old Vic Theatre’s 50th anniversary production.
