Meet Broadway’s New Anna and King Of Siam for The King And I
Following a busy spring, Lincoln Center is preparing to welcome another new king to Siam and a Tony Award winner back to Broadway. Following several major casting replacements this spring, The King And I most recently welcome backed Tony Award nominee Ken Watanabe who performed alongside his original co-star and Tony Award winner Kelli O’Hara. The twice departed the production this past weekend and now Broadway is gearing up for a debut and a triumphant return. Today, Luner on Theatre brings you an exciting first look at Marin Mazzie as Anna and Daniel Dae Kim as the King of Siam in Broadway’s Tony Award winning The King And I!
Thanks to Paul Kolnik for the beautiful photo above! Marin Mazzie and Daniel Dae Kim will both begin performances in The King And I on Broadway May 3rd, 2016. Mazzie returns to Broadway after being last seen in Bullets Over Broadway in spring 2014 as Kim makes his Broadway debut in the role. Kim has previously played the role in a concert staging of The King And I in Royal Albert Hall in 2009 and Broadway is indeed ready to welcome him for his debut. Kim is scheduled to appear in the role for a limited time through June 26th, 2016 only!
