Artwork For The SpongeBob Musical Revealed

Who lives in a pineapple under the sea?! Apparently, one Broadway theater will soon. Nickelodeon is at long last diving in (Literally) to the world of Broadway by bringing its beloved SpongeBob Square Pants series to the stage in a brand new musical set to premiere in Chicago this summer before a plunge onto Broadway in New York next season. As the premiere of the production nears, the theatre world is slowly learning new details and getting first looks at what Bikini Bottom on Broadway may look like! Today, Luner on Theatre brings you an exciting look at the artwork revealed for the upcoming SpongeBob Musical aiming for Broadway!

Entertainment Weekly was the first news source to reveal the artwork for the upcoming musical after releasing an exclusive artwork revealing casting for the production, the artwork above and plot details about the new stage production. Thank you to Entertainment Weekly for sharing this image. The SpongeBob Musical will begin performances June 7th running through July 3rd, 2016 at The Oriental Theatre in Chicago. The production is a limited run and will move to New York following its premiere.
