Welcome To LunerOnTheatre.Com
After several years of publishing posts on this site, we’ve decided to make it official. No longer will you see .wordpress.com on our posts as Luner on Theatre takes a big step forward today as we celebrate a blog milestone. Today, Luner on Theatre celebrates five years of blogging and welcomes you to our official website, LuneronTheatre.com!
It’s hard to believe five years ago today we published our very first blog post. However, that wasn’t the beginning for Luner on Theatre. The idea of Luner on Theatre began months before as I found myself consistently commenting, sharing, giving opinions and pushing ideas for the theatre while sharing other sites coverage of news. One day I stopped and thought to myself, “I could do this on my own forum”, and so began Luner on Theatre. It’s been an insane five years filled with news, rumors, exclusives, photos and more. While we’re celebrating five years of blogging today, we’re already beginning to look ahead to the next five.
In our five years of being online, we’ve managed to rack up some pretty great statistics for a blog that isn’t necessarily an every day occurrence. Luner on Theatre has dipped in and out over the years simply due to work. I personally work in theatre and as those of you who do or don’t know, it is pretty demanding when you find yourself in rehearsals, technical rehearsals and performances. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not trying to make excuses for a lack of posts here. We always cover a story when we want to talk about it and bring you news we believe you should know about. No matter what. We’ve pushed beyond that in several cases starting series and hoping to be a site that can not only bring you theatre news and coverage, but expand your education of the theatre in itself. Here are some exciting numbers from the past five years;
- Nearly 850 Blog Posts!
- 300,000 all time views!
- People from 175 different countries on 6 different continents view our blog!
Exciting stuff! Here are also some fun facts about Luner on Theatre you may or may not have known about us!

How did you come up with the name Luner on Theatre?
It was actually an accident. The original name was GOLBOT, which was short for Gossip On Luner’s Beliefs on Theatre. Thank GOD we didn’t go with that. We got rid of Gossip making it LBOT for Luner’s Beliefs on Theatre. But that still didn’t seem professional enough for me. I dropped “belief” simply leaving Luner on Theatre which I said “Would make a good working title” until we figured out a real one.
As a new year begins both literally and on the blog, we’re truly hoping to make 2016 our best year yet. As we mentioned above, this blog is something I do out of my love for the theatre and having a forum to talk about, discuss and share thoughts and opinions with all of you. Time has sometimes restricted me from writing but I am making a vow to post no matter what. Even when time falls short, write a post. Keep the ideas flowing, keep people talking and keep sharing what people need to know. There are more ways than just this site to connect with Luner on Theatre!
All of these platforms not only allow Luner on Theatre to share our news in an exciting fashion but also continue our coverage in expanded ways only these sites can allow! First looks, behind the scenes coverage and LIVE updates are just a few things you can expect by following these other social media outlets!
We can’t bring this blog post to an end without thanking the number one group for making this blog possible each and every day; YOU! I sometimes still cannot believe people read this site at all yet alone once a week or even daily. Your continued support whether you read this blog once a day, once a week or once a month means the world to me. I’ve continued to write not only because it is something I’ve really learned to enjoy but because YOU keep me inspired. Emails of encouragement or comments thanking me for my support of a subject are just two examples of your love for this blog I appreciate more than you even know. I hope I continue to live up to your expectations this year, in coming years and beyond that. Even more so, I hope to go beyond them. I hope to bring you coverage, news, topics of discussion and more that will not only keep you informed of the theatre for years to come but inspired. From a kid who just wanted somewhere to talk about his ideas and love for the theatre….Thank You. – Chris Luner (Creator of Luner on Theatre)
