pic-013Luner Lowdown: London welcomes its fourth revival of Guys And Dolls just a decade after the show last bowed in the West End. That last revival ran nearly two years and almost transferred to Broadway. However, this latest transfer looks just as splendid as other classic musicals have looked, reinvented on the London stage over the past several years. Guys And Dolls, a musical theatre staple, features beloved theatre tunes such as “Adelaide’s Lament”, “Luck Be a Lady” and “Sit Down, You’re Rockin’ the Boat” to name just a few. This new staging of the show looks poised to breathe fresh life into a show many could consider “outdated” and reinvent it for younger generations. The scenic design specifically for this production looks stellar and practically spotless in its execution.
