Eclipsed is a new play by Danai Gurira that tells the story of a group of women held captive in the midst of the Liberian Civil War. As war rages on, the wives of a rebel officer band together to form a community and balance which is unsettled when a new girl arrives. The story looks to the women’s strength as they are tested not only for survival but by the horrors of the hostile world outside their tent.
