Hemlock Theatre Co. came to life in Staten Island following several productions over the course of several years on Staten Island. Beginning in 2010, the group produced the highly successful musical revue titled Broadway: Behind Bars that featured various villains of Broadway and raised over $3,000 for charity. Founded by Wagner College students Jenny Kelly (Pictured Left), Matthew Hosmer and Eric Petillo, the group began knocking out production after production in 2012 when Brendan Stackhouse, another Wagner alum, joined the group. Stackhouse directed Next to Normal, Into The Woods and A Grand Night for Singing: An Evening of Rodgers & Hammerstein. The company was officially founded in 2014 as the group wished to continue producing and expand their efforts. Since officially forming, the company has produced Cooler Riders: In Concert (Music of Grease 2), Parallel Lives and Down A Hole.
