Tony Time: Nominations for Best Scenic Design of a Musical (Photos)

From a house in Pennsylvania to the streets of Paris, this season Broadway scenic designers truly outdid themselves as they brought to life the world these musicals transported us to. However, Broadway audiences only see the end product at what is the end of a very long road for this designer. The designer, who has begun months, sometime years in advance has worked to sketch, render, map out and even build a to scale model of the world they plan to take audiences to. We’re thrilled to bring you a special look at this, thanks to The Tony Awards & Playbill, with several sketches/models below for this season’s musicals. Today, Luner on Theatre brings you an exciting look at the musical scenic designs nominated for this year’s Tony Awards!
