Disney’s The Hunchback Of Notre Dame (Photos)

After years of anticipation, Disney has finally brought the beloved story of The Hunchback of Notre Dame to the stage here in the United States as a musical. Following it’s U.S. premiere last fall on the West Coast at La Jolla Playhouse, the East Coast is now getting a taste of 15th century Paris as the musical plays New Jersey’s Paper Mill Playhouse. Led by Michael Arden as Quasimodo, Patrick Page as Dom Claude Frollo and Ciara Renée as Esmeralda, Disney’s Hunchback may be the most anticipated Disney movie musical adaptation in recent history (Not counting Frozen of course!). Today, Luner on Theatre brings you an exciting first look at Disney’s The Hunchback of Notre Dame at Paper Mill Playhouse!

Disney’s The Hunchback of Notre Dame is now in performances at Paper Mill Playhouse through April 5th, 2015! The musical is directed by Scott Schwartz and choreographed by Chase Brock. The production features songs from the film and several new works with music by Alan Menken and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz. Peter Parnell provides the book. While a stage life for Hunchback following Paper Mill remains in the air right now, many only hope they will eventually see the show make its way to Broadway in New York. I know I do! Thank you to Jerry Dalia, Matthew Murphy and Kevin Berne for the photos used in this blog post. For more information, visit Paper Mill Playhouse’s Official Website, Facebook Page or Twitter. And of course, be sure to check out the rest of Luner on Theatre for all your theatre news you don’t only need but want to know!
