It’s Only A Play (Photos)

It’s Only A Play, a comedy written by Terrance McNally, has returned to Broadway this season in a brand new form with an all-star cast! The play tells the story of a group of theatre people anxiously awaiting their review on opening night from an infamous drama critic in New York City. While It’s Only A Play originally opened in 1986 at the Manhattan Theatre Club, McNally has updated his piece to fit the times filled with modern jokes, names and show references. Today, Luner on Theatre brings you a first look at It’s Only A Play!

It’s Only A Play will not be around on Broadway all season! The production is playing a strictly limited engagement of 18-weeks only on Broadway through January 4th, 2015! As mentioned, the production features an all-star cast which includes Harry Potter actor Rupert Grint, Academy Award winner F. Murray Abraham, Tony Award winner Matthew Broderick, Tony Award winner Stockard Channing, Tony Award winner Nathan Lane, Emmy Award winner Megan Mullally and Micah Stock. Tony Award winner Jack O’Brien is director.
