Raise You Up: First National Tour of Kinky Boots (Photos)

Broadway’s Tony Award winning best musical is strutting its stuff on the road! Kinky Boots, which features music and lyrics by Cyndi Lauper and a book by Harvey Fierstein, is a musical based on the 2005 film of the same title which was inspired by a true life story! It tells the story of a struggling British shoe factory which is having trouble selling the mens dress shoes it is known for. It’s new owner, Charlie, decides to team up with a drag queen, Lola, and produce custom footwear for drag queens and kings. In the process, the two find they are more alike than they originally imagined. Today, Luner on Theatre brings you an exciting first look at the brand new national tour of the Tony Award winning Best Musical, Kinky Boots!
