Double the fun! Broadway is looking forward to welcoming some new freaks to The Great White Way this Fall. No, we aren’t talking about Bradley Cooper as The Elephant Man. We’re talk about the newly announced revival of Side Show set to hit Broadway this fall! The musical, which features a book and lyrics by Bill Russell with music by Henry Krieger, has reworked itself entirely for its latest Broadway outing. Taking a much darker approach including some biographical facts about the Hilton twins and even adding in some new songs has many excited about the potential of this exciting musical revival! Today, Luner on Theatre brings you an exciting look at the new Broadway artwork for the upcoming revival of Side Show!
Side Show is set to begin previews on Broadway October 28th at the St. James Theatre. The production will officially open on November 17th, 2014. The production is directed by Bill Condon, who is known best for directing the Dreamgirls film, and will be choreographed by Anthony Van Laast. This will be the first time the musical has been revived on Broadway since it’s debut in 1997 which flat lined after playing only 91 performances.
