2014 Outer Critics Circle Award Nominations Announced

Earlier this morning, Cicely Tyson and Vanessa Williams proudly announced the nominations for the 64th annual Outer Critics Circle Awards. With just one week to go until the 2014 Tony Award nominations, the theatre community welcomed the announcement with great pride as the time comes to celebrate this season’s productions both on and off Broadway! Today, Luner on Theatre brings you a full list of the 2014 Outer Critics Circle Award Nominations!

The Outer Critics Circle Awards  is celebrating its 64th year of bestowing awards of excellence in the field of theatre. The members of the committee are associated with more than 90 newspapers, magazines, radio and television stations, internet and theatrical publications not only in America but also worldwide.The awards are presented for both achievement in both Off-Broadway and Broadway productions.

Congratulations to all of the Outer Critics Circle Award nominees! A Gentleman’s Guide To Love And Murder came out swinging as the front-runner with 11 nominations overall. Disney’s new musical spectacular Aladdin flew in to second place with 8 nominations while The Public’s critically acclaimed Fun Home ranked third overall with 7 nominations. It is always so exciting to celebrate another season coming to an end and being able to take a look overall how successful so many productions have been over the course of the past year.
