Wagner College Theatre Previews The Drowsy Chaperone With Character Portraits

Wagner College Theatre is about kick off its spring 2014 season with a Tony Award winning favorite! The Drowsy Chaperone, which features music and lyrics by Lisa Lambert and Greg Morrison with a book by Bob Martin and Don McKellar, tells the hilarious story of Man in Chair and how theatre can transport anyone. Main in Chair has no idea that when he places his favorite cast recording, The Drowsy Chaperone, on his turntable, the musical is about to come to life right before him! The musical comedy tells the story of a Broadway star who wants to give up show business for marriage. However, that is much easier said than done. As the producer sets out to sabotage the wedding, a latin lover appears and gangsters make an unlikely appearance! The Drowsy Chaperone brings to life the roaring 1920’s in a hilarious production that reminds audiences of no matter how hard life is, we can always be transported by the power of the theatre.Today, Luner on Theatre brings you a look at some new stage portraits of the characters you will see come to life in Wagner College Theatre’s The Drowsy Chaperone!
