First Look at Wagner College Theatre’s Goddess Wheel (Photos)

Last week, Wagner College Theatre opened the World Premiere of the new musical Goddess Wheel. The musical, featuring music by Galt MacDermot (Hair) with book and lyrics by Matty Selman, ran from April 18th to the 21st and tonight begins it’s second week of performances at Snug Harbor on Staten Island in New York City. Today, Luner on Theatre is bringing you a sneak peek look into Goddess Wheel as it heads into its second week of performances

According to a press release, Goddess Wheel is “Inspired by “Lysistrata,” Aristophanes’ 5th century B.C. Greek comedy, “Goddess Wheel” tells the story of the Peloponnesian War between Sparta and Athens. The women, fed up with the war, decide to withhold sex until the men sign a peace treaty bringing the war to an end.”

Wagner College Theatre’s World Premiere production of Goddess Wheel will run at the Snug Harbor Cultural Center at the Music Hall. Performances left for the production run from April 25th until April 29th. Performances are at 8 PM with an additional 2 PM matinee on April 28th. There is only a 2 PM performance on April 29th.
