Upper Darby High School Announces Cast for Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat

Go, Go Joe! Go, Go, Joe! Upper Darby High School may be on Winter break but their upcoming spring musical, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, is getting into full swing for the upcoming semester! But before they can do any of that, the most important thing we need is the cast list which has now been announced for the Spring 2012 production! So join Luner on Theatre today as we bring you the cast list for Upper Darby High School’s Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is a musical that features music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Tim Rice. The musical is based after “the coat of many colors” story from The Book of Genesis. The musical follows the story of Joseph and his brothers and as he goes form underdog to ahead of his time in a fun, hilarious and catchy musical for everyone to enjoy. Joseph has strange dreams that will get him in trouble, kicked out of home and glorified all in one musical sitting. There is almost no spoken dialogue and the musical is mostly all sung.

Leading the creative team for Upper Darby High School’s production is Jeff Dietzler who is set to direct the show. Kevin Dietzler will choreograph the production and the show musical will be musically directed by Barbara Benglian.

Since Upper Darby High School has close to 4,000 students, their musical usually features a much larger ensemble then other area school’s shows. However, never too large that it takes away from the production quality.
