“The Drowsy Chaperone, a giddy homage to Jazz Age musicals, is filled with merriment, music, mayhem, mix-ups and a madcap wedding. Sitting alone in his drab apartment, feeling blue and wanting to lift his spirits, a die-hard musical theatre fan decides to listen to the cast album of his favorite musical, The Drowsy Chaperone. Dropping the needle onto his hi-fi, his imagination takes flight and the fictional musical magically bursts to life in his living room, complete with sparkling sets, glittering costumes and a colorful cast of hilarious characters. They play out a humorously twisted plot employing a shameless raft of theatrical devices including mistaken identity, spit takes, tap dancing, show-stoppers, flagrant upstaging and rousing anthems.”

The production, which consists of 24 cast members, is made up from people both locally and regionally. Envisioning the dream himself and truly creating The Drowsy Chaperone is Billy Cardone as Man in Chair. Prepared to throw in the towl as Janet Van de Graff is Kara Krichman who is interested in marrying oil tycoon Robert Martin played by Ken McGrawJoe Hausvater plays big time producer Feldzieg who is bullied around by two gangsters being played by Josh Tamburro and Nick Falzone.
