Tony Time: Performances Please!
What’s an awards ceremony without some live performances!? And what better awards ceremony where you have some of the greatest live performers in the world to do so! And what do I mean by “greatest performers in the world’? Broadway actors and actresses perform their shows 8 times a week not to mention anything else they do on the side such as cabarets, vocal lessons or extra rehearsals. So it is only right that The Tony Awards feature performances by casts! So what is this gearing up to look like?

In a Broadway season like no other, this year’s numbers whether its one person or an ensemble, you will be wowed! I promise you that! New York Philharmonic’s Company! A even larger star studded cast will fill the stage for a performance you will surely remember!
And there are your performances for the 2011 Tony Awards! However, I am going to say with Neil Patrick Harris as host and Broadway at its best in recent years, who knows what is really planned! A musical number could really break out at any point! But I mean after all, it is Broadway. And I have to admit if a musical number randomly broke out, I wouldn’t hate it.
Neil Patrick Harris though I’m sure does have some magic up his sleeve for this years Tony Awards! He has said the following when asked about hosting the awards and any special surprise performances he may have in mind:
What a joke! Except, the producers of the Tony Awards then said the following:
We’re thrilled to have Neil back as our host,” And we’re even happier he fits in the ‘Spider-Man’ rigging.”
UT OH! I’m getting the feeling that all these Spiderman jokes are not just for the heck of it! Will Neil Patrick Harris attempt to Turn Off the Dark at this year’s Tony Awards?
