Upper Darby Summer Stage Announces 36th Season

Another magical summer is planned for Upper Darby Summer Stage this year as the 36th Season which includes 6 children’s theatre shows and a mainstage production was announced.

Upper Darby Summer Stage is a theatre program based out of the Upper Darby Performing Arts Center in Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania. Each year, around 700 children enroll in the program to involves themselves in everything ranging from children’s theatre shows, a mainstage production, a dance troupe program, a cabaret program and a night one acts. Upper Darby Summer Stage was founded in 1976 by Harry Dietzler.

Upper Darby Summer Stage has placed 1st in the My FOX Philly Award for Best Theatre Group in Philadelphia for the past 3 years in 2008, 2009 and 2010.

The following show’s have been announced for the Children’s Theatre season:

  • Disney’s Camp Rock
  • Narnia
  • Mulan Jr.
  • The Dinosaur Musical
  • Rugrats
  • The Secret Garden

The Mainstage production, which had been announced earlier, will be Titanic.
